The announcement came over today that Roger Penske's Penske Automotive Group won the bid for General Motors Corp.'s Saturn line. The sale should save 13,000 jobs and 350 dealers.
“Saturn has a passionate customer base and outstanding dealer network,” Roger Penske said. “For nearly 20 years, Saturn has focused on treating the customer right. We share that philosophy, and we want to build on those strengths.”
Since Penske Auto isn't a manufacturer, they'll have to find a supplier. Penske also said he expects to line-up a "worldwide partner", but plans to build in the U.S.
